HOMETOWN
Larry Kolp Community Garden Plots
Every summer I admire the sunflowers stretching from these garden plots. I finally made the time to explore them, carefully weaving through tomato vines and zinnias to capture the town gardeners’ work. Everything about the space feels wholesome and grounding. Some gardeners are even kind enough to send me home with extra vegetables after letting me traipse through their plots.
Sub Edge Farm
I grew up driving past this farm on my way to school each morning. Once a dairy farm, this cow-dotted landscape became a mainstay in my memories of home. The farm has since shifted to an agricultural model, providing locals with a bounty of produce and a flourishing CSA program. The return of cows to the valley pasture was a welcome sight when I came home from college. I only hope they found me as charming as I find them!
